“President of Paraguay to come to Israel to open Embassy in Jerusalem.

The Foreign Ministry of the Occupation said on Monday [May 7, 2018] that Paraguay will move its Israeli embassy to Jerusalem by the end of May, following the United States and Guatemala.

According to Reuters, Foreign Ministry spokesman, Emmanuel Nahshon said in a statement: ‘Paraguay President Horacio Cartes plans to come to Israel by the end of the month to open an embassy in Jerusalem.’

However, the Paraguay Foreign Ministry said that up until now, no decision has been made regarding the issue.

This comes after Guatemalan President, Jimmy Morales’ March 5th announcement at a press conference in Washington D.C, in which he said his country will move its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in May. This announcement sparked international criticism and widespread objections by Palestinians.”
