“Occupation municipality workers attempt to change the names on the street signs, and locals confront them.”

0202 Editor’s Note:
Over the past few years, the Jerusalem Municipality has changed the names of some streets in predominantly Arab neighborhoods in East Jerusalem, to Hebrew street names. The new Hebrew street names often reflect local, Jewish historical sites. This is condemned by many East Jerusalem residents who believe the municipality’s actions are part of an ongoing trend of eroding Palestinian national identity, and ‘judaizing’ Jerusalem.
